Epilogue of Love

Cupid's bow
once strong, seeing the many spoils of love
now rests broken and covered by dust

The arrows of emotion
once a crystaline red, now lie blackened
upon the ground

His Wings
Torn and tattered blowing in the wind
forming a heart with the last of their magic.

Tears fall
only to stain the cheeks of the bearer
washing away the hurt, cleansing the soul

Days Past

I sit looking at pictures
days long gone
times of innocence and joy
no troubles or worries
it was all about playing
things changed along the way
gotta grow up
bills to pay, work to be done
the luster of youth fades
to hardened look of time
skin wrinkles, muscles weaken
color diminishes to grey
life passes away
so simplistic it seems
If only it were.
