Peering through the dark
scanning the emptiness
smoke filled air
fog rolling around ankles
seeking, nothing apparent
is it to be seen
desperately reaching for the tangible
which feeling
the emotional or touch
arms thrash catching only air
awake within a dream
visions of a sleepy world
dull hazy light
morning grows brighter
